Wouldn’t it be helpful, if our NYC Transit MetroCards had some identifying feature that changed each month? I can’t tell you how many times I have bought a monthly pass, and 5 seconds later, forgotten which card was the new one. Just give me one visual feature that distinguishes it from the previous. You would think that the MTA would have used them as part of their Art for Transit Program. It is probably the most ubiquitous opportunity for design that the MTA has, second to the subway system it self. I am adding this to the list of projects that I need to get done. In fact, I am emailing them right now.
