After many years on hiatus, Fray.com is starting back up again. Fray was, and now is a community story telling experience, originally started by the ever talented Derek Powazek and Heather Champ from SF.
Fray is a community. We are people who have come together around the idea that everyone has a story to tell. Ordinary people who tell extraordinary true stories.
One of the interesting aspects about Fray was how each story was allowed to be visually shaped by the original writer. You dont see this type of customization and level of story telling across many sites these days. Looking back on the old Fray, makes me realize how templated most of our current story telling forms have become. It is refreshing to see people put a lot of time and effort into the presentation of a single story. Welcome back!
